As a professional photojournalist for over 41 years, most recently as a staff photographer for the New York Post, I have seen many instances of poverty and need. Never is poverty as tragic as when it affect children. After having visited my hometown of Alausi in Ecuador, I realized the tremendous poverty that still exists. The only opportunity that children have to break the cycle of poverty is through education and at the 13 de Noviembre Elementary School, my Alma matter; the conditions are less than conducive to acquiring just that. Touched by the needs of the school Arellano I took on the mission to try and raise money to improve the school. Today I ask for your support.
